The Currybooth!!!

August 7, 2010

Last weekend, the big day finally came for my Uncle Paul and his bride, Nadine. We had a blast shooting their wedding at The Grand Tradition in Fallbrook, where the weather was in the mid-80s — perfect for an afternoon of shooting. As usual, the photobooth was a blast, and we have to thank their guests for being such a fun group to shoot!

First up, my nephew, the ring-bearer.

And……… the flower girl. (Love this sequence, after we gave her a handful of petals.)

“Should I do it?”

There were a lot of my nephews running around.

Stay tuned for some amazing images from their day. We love you, Uncle Paul and Aunt Nadine!!!

A couple of months ago, we had the privilege of shooting a wedding with Nick over at The Image Group, and what a beautiful wedding it was. Chris and Shari are amazing together, and despite a rain delay and having to move the ceremony inside, everyone was upbeat and smiling the entire time.

Jeremiah and Shannon done got hitched two weeks ago, and what a wedding! They had tons of crazy guests at the reception, and we came home with some appropriately crazy poses. Our favorites:

Wow. Just, wow:

The booth was set up right next to the food, so we got quite a bit of traffic at dinnertime.

When Nate first approached us about doing wedding photos for him and Sarah, he posed the question somewhat like this: “Are you available for a wedding/knifefight in late August?” I had never heard a wedding compared to a knifefight before, but it was accurate, in a metaphorical way, to what went down last Sunday. The photobooth was in a corner of the reception room, and throughout the night we had folks coming back with good ideas. Lots of energy. A few injuries (not really, as far as I know…). The thing took on a life of its own, and it was a highlight we’ll remember for a long time.

Images of the actual wedding/knifefight to follow…

Much was made of these handy little Nerf-like slingshots. Dangerous. (Right after this shot, dude No. 1 on the left actually shot dude No. 2.)

…could keep Nate and Sarah’s wedding from happening. With huge, billowing plumes of smoke rising from behind Mt. Wilson–not 10 miles away–they did their thing at the altar, and we did ours before, during and after. We’ll have tons of great photos to upload in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.

Friends, it’s been too long… Too long since my last post, and too long since Michael and Noelle Bower’s wedding. They have now been married more than six months, and here, at long last, are the best of their wedding pictures.

We had an amazing time behind the lens with Michael and Noelle, who are both such special, talented and loving individuals; as a couple, they are incredible. It was an honor to be part of your wedding; we love you guys!

Without further ado…

One last shot, a personal favorite…

Miller time!

While we work on getting the photos from Matt and Candace’s wedding done and online, here are a few shots from their photobooth. They were both awesome in front of the camera, all day long — props to you guys for your endurance and energy.

One last note: If you are in any of these photos — or stepped into the photobooth, but don’t see your picture here — you can see the rest and order prints through our new web site. Just e-mail us for instructions.

Wherever you guys are, we love you. Prepare to be overwhelmed with photographs of your beautiful day.
