June 21, 2010The youngest of my dad’s brothers is getting married in July, and we were so honored when Uncle Paul and his fiancee, Nadine, asked if we would be their photographers. Our family–both sides–has been blessed with an incredible array of aunts, uncles, grandparents, brothers, sisters–and now nieces and nephews. What a special thing it is to be part of their lives, and to document their milestones as they happen. We’ll have tons of great pictures from Paul and Nadine’s day later this summer, but for now, here is a sampling of their engagement session last month at The Grand Tradition.
We’re especially looking forward to their Hawaiian theme. A few years ago, The Grand Tradition added a second wedding site called “Arbor Terrace,” and the lush landscaping goes so well with tropical shirts and the rest. :) :)
Evelyn at one week: Fallbrook newborn portraits
April 17, 2010Last month, we had the pleasure of meeting 9-day-old Evelyn. She was so sweet and only fussed a little bit as we moved her around and played with the light. And we even got her big brother, Sebastian, in the frame for a few minutes toward the end. What an amazing family; thanks guys (and especially Evelyn) for the great shoot!

Happy New Year from the Pfingsten + Rosas families
January 1, 2010Back in November, Tom’s mother asked if we would do the annual honor of photographing the Pfingsten/Rosas families. This would be a particularly special session, the first time since mom and dad moved into their new house that we’ve gathered for pictures. So we chose a spot in their new neighborhood, Shady Grove, and commenced with the shooting. We even got a few good pictures of us–thanks Annie!
We start with Tom’s three nephews, who have had plenty of time in front of the camera over the years…
Fallbrook family photos, Christmas edition
December 20, 2009A couple weeks ago, Brittnee called us to ask if we still had time for a quick pre-Christmas session, and quick was all we had time for–we were leaving for the Philippines in a matter of days. But we set a time, the rain let up long enough for the sun to shine on us for an hour, and we captured some really cute moments between Jon, Brittnee and their daughter.
I’ve known about Los Jilgueros Preserve in Fallbrook for many years. It’s always been a nice place for a quiet walk, but this was the first time we’d done pictures there. Jon and Brittnee actually chose the location, and we’re so glad they did! We’ll definitely be going back for more!
Fallbrook senior portraits – Cameron
October 31, 2009This was our first senior portrait session at Live Oak Park in Fallbrook, and it was a*may*zing. (Is that how you spell it???) Anyways, Cameron is such a great guy, as you can tell, and it was a pleasure taking pictures of him at such a scenic spot.
We’ve really enjoyed doing senior portrait sessions lately. High schoolers are so full of energy and promise, and they are a lot of fun. If you know someone who will be graduating next spring and you like our style, send ‘em our way! Mucho thank you!
Jeremiah + Shannon
September 26, 2009Words don’t do justice to how much fun we had with Jeremiah and Shannon at their recent engagement session. It was my second time shooting down at the old Bonsall bridge, only this time we got to head underneath the historic span, which some of us still remember having to drive across as kids. If you passed a big rig, you held your breath. But now it’s gated off to motorists and only accessible on foot or bicycle. Such a great place to take pictures.
